Welcome to the Pet Medicine Store! My name is Joseph and I’m the owner and webmaster for the Pet Medicine Store. I first established this site in 2005 and have been providing pet owners, veterinarians, shelters, and animal welfare organizations with high quality discount pet medicine ever since.
Why did I create this store? It wasn’t just to make money. I am a long time pet owner and currently have three dogs, three cats, and a fish tank with Discus, Plecos, and other Amazonian fish. Let’s face it, keeping all these animals healthy and free from all the common ailments that affect them is very, very expensive. I take all of my animals to the veterinarian whenever they need to be treated for something, and as many of you know, these bills can quickly add up to the point of insanity.
My 3 dogs love the outdoors and need monthly treatments for both fleas and heartworm, not to mention the miscellaneous fights and accidents that tend to occur once in a while… My cats are not very high maintanence but they also love to be outside and sometimes get in fights and occasionally get fleas. My oldest cat now needs medication for her arthritis.
To make a long story short, I was buying all of my pet medications from the vet and wasn’t really aware that there were alternatives until my vet almost broke me with his outrageous prices. I was forced to search for alternatives. That’s when I turned to the internet and discovered that the prices online were up to 50% less than what my vet was charging me! Needless to say, I was outraged and I immediately began buying all of my pet meds online.
Whenever I needed a prescription, of course I had to see my vet. But I began asking my vet for the prescription so I could present it to my online pet medication seller. I explained to him that I was on a very tight budget and I hope he understood that I needed to get my pet meds elsewhere but that I would always continue to visit him for my pets’ health care.
My vet reluctantly agreed to pass on the prescriptions as I needed them and the result for me was a whopping savings of about 40 percent!
This is the reason I started the Pet Medicine Store. I saw an opportunity to help other people just like me and at the same time help pay for the pet meds my pets need.
