Indications: OTOMAX Ointment is indicated for the treatment of canine acute and chronic otis externa associated with yeast (Malassezia pachydermatis, formerly Pityrosporum canis) and/or bacteria susceptible to gentamicin.Dosage and Administration: The external ear should be properly cleaned and dried before treatment. Remove foreign material, debris, crusted exudates, etc., with suitable nonirriating solutions. Excessive hair should be clipped from the treatment area. After verifying that the eardrum is intact, instill 4 drops of OTOMAX ointment twice daily into the ear canal of dogs weighing less than 30 lbs. Instill 8 drops twice daily into the ear canal of dogs weighting 30 lbs or more. Massage external ear canal carefully after installation to ensure appropriate distribution of medication. MOMETAMAX Otic Suspension is indicated for the treatment of canine otitis externa in dogs caused by susceptible strains of yeast (Malassezia pachydermatis) and bacteria (Pseudomonas spp. including P. aeruginosa], coagulase-positive staphylococci, Enterococcus faecalis, Proteus mirabilis, and beta-hemolytic streptococci).Each gram of MOMETAMAX Otic Suspension contains gentamicin sulfate, USP equivalent to 3 mg gentamicin base; mometasone furoate monohydrate equivalent to 1 mg mometasone; and 10 mg clotrimazole, USP in a mineral oil-based system containing a plasticized hydrocarbon gel.DOSAGE AND ADMINISTRATIONThe external ear canal should be thoroughly cleaned and dried before treatment. Gently massage and work into infected area. Wipe to remove excess. Treat once a day for 7 days, 14 days for chronic infections. Recommended for extended use on persistant cases. Post treatment flush is recommended to remove any residual product and accumulated dead skin cells.Ingredients: Glycerin, Deionized Water, Hydroxy Propyl Cellulose, Benzyl Alcohol, Potassium lodide, Dextrose, Propylene Glycol, Glucose Oxidase, Lysozyme, Lactoperoxidase, Lactoferrin.Cautions: DO NOT clean ears before or during treatment.
